Hi there! Lovely to meet you at last. I’m Aragorn the Cat, and I’m a pretty handsome cat. After all, that’s what they tell me all the time – and to be honest, whenever I catch a glimpse of myself in the mirror, I must say they are right. I’m pretty extraordinary.

I was born on May 3rd, 2012 so I am 10 years old now. Not that I really know what all that means. But once in a while, they make a big fuss of me and call me a birthday boy and put a strange number to it. Then they keep on going about how I need to stop aging and slow the time down as if I were a wizard and knew how – I mean, I can do a lot of things, but wizardry is not one of them. Not even Gandalf could do that – yeah, I know Gandalf, he’s in the same film as a character named after me apparently. I didn’t even know I’m that famous!

But anyway, at the end of the day, I find that quite rude. As far as I’m concerned, I should be celebrated every day I walk this Earth because each day they have the pleasure of my company should be equally special and a real blessing. After all, they need A LOT of my help. Humans are quite clueless, to be honest. Thank god I found them.

You see, we cats may not know how to slow down the time, but we sure know how to make the most of it so it doesn’t feel like it’s flying by. We can cherish every sip of it and we’re masters of using time in the most delicious ways really. We surely don’t stress needlessly, and we know when to rest and when to play. And if we want something, we ask for it. That is – I ask for it.

I have two annoying brothers, whom you might have seen over on Instagram already. The funny thing is, they might think they’re the bosses around here (especially the ginger one tends to think so), but really, it’s just laughable. Leave it up to them to ask for lunch and we’ll be starving till dinner.

So anyway – I’m the real boss here.

Where there is too much noise, there’s not necessarily too much wisdom. Sometimes, the noise is there just to cover up the lack of it.

Aragorn the Cat

Both my brothers and my humans think I’m not the smartest one, but trust me, there is more to me than meets the eye. The fact that I am quiet and much less seen around doesn’t mean I’m silly or a simpleton. I am the observer. And as such, I can be pretty clever. I only speak when I have something to say (usually ask for food or cuddles) and otherwise quietly observe and learn. And sometimes I wish I could teach in fact! Which is what I came to do here.

You’ll be hearing more from me over here because I found humans need a lot of guidance and saving and so I thought I’ll expand my wisdom to the outer world, cause I just can’t help helping. If you’re reading this, you likely belong to the hopeless human race, too. But do not worry. No one is really lost for long with a cat by their side – and you, my dear reader, you just got yourself one. So stay tuned, I’ll be checking in regularly. But for now, let me just wrap up with that one thought – don’t judge those who are quiet too quickly. You never know what lies beneath. Plus where there is too much noise, is not necessarily too much wisdom. Sometimes, the noise is there just to cover up the lack of it.

Now go and find yourself a good napping spot. It really makes ALL the difference.
